How to bring a touch of beach tropic to your home…
Adding a touch of beach style to your home needn’t be fussy or difficult. Lighter colours, seashells and palm trees are an easy, cost effective way to bring the tropics indoors.
Come inside to the real Plumeria Coastal Home, my home and I’ll show you around and perhaps you can gain some ideas and inspiration…..
My home tends to have a colour palette of dark wood, white and greys. This gives me a good canvas to inject colour and light. The palm trees contrast beautifully against the timber flooring.
Don’t be afraid to combine your beach accents with contemporary pieces such as this glass bowl. This bowl was a wedding gift and has beautiful sentimental meaning, so I wanted to incorporate it into the display.
I know I’ve said it before but……Monsterio Leaves are such a cool look. You only need 2 leaves for dramatic effect and they last many weeks, just change the water weekly.
Combine your favourite shells such as these cone shells in a tall fishbowl. And when it comes to starfish, the bigger the better!
I love Driftwood, it brings the elements of the ocean and the forest together. I prefer to leave it empty as it’s looks great on it’s own, but it looks just as good filled with big shells too.
Some of the key elements to beach house decor are shells, glass and plants. Incorporate these into your interiors and experiment with your favourite shells and coral to bring the island to your home.
